West Sumatra Food Prices, Week of September 29th: What's the Price of Onions?

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (29/9/2024) at 16.51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, shallots, SPHP rice, fine iodized salt, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red onions, chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp3,930 (8.33%) to Rp51,130 per kg. Skipjack tuna experienced the largest price decrease of Rp1,580 (4.29%) to Rp35,240 per kg.
