Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Egg, Oil, and Red Chili Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (October 21, 2025) at 08.01 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include curly red chili, garlic cloves, fresh buffalo meat (local), pure beef, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, mackerel, skipjack tuna, Minyakita cooking oil, and corn at the farmer level decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili increased the most by Rp9,667 (11.79%) to Rp91,667 per kg. The price of corn at the farmer level decreased the sharpest by Rp6,555 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
