Today's Indonesian Food Prices: Salt Up, Onions Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (18/5/2024) at 13.24 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 17 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are iodized fine salt and dry soybean seeds (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as garlic bulbs, red chilies, skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of imported dry soybean seeds increased the most by Rp60 (0.5%) to Rp12,090 per kg. The price of skipjack tuna decreased the most by Rp390 (1.24%) to Rp31,150 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 20 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas as of May 18, 2024, at 13.24 WIB.
