Chicken egg prices in South Sumatra rose 55.41% in a week.

Fresh chicken egg prices in South Sumatra reached Rp 29,450 per kg on Friday, July 1, 2022. Compared to other regions, this area saw the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily commodity price monitoring data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, fresh chicken egg prices in South Sumatra have increased by 55.41% in a week.

Compared to prices 30 days prior, the price of fresh chicken eggs in this region has increased by 54.59%. This signifies a significant surge within a month. Furthermore, compared to the last year's prices, the current selling price of fresh chicken eggs in South Sumatra's modern markets is the highest on record.

From January to July 2022, fresh chicken egg prices in modern markets have continuously risen, increasing by 54.59% compared to the previous month.

Fresh chicken egg prices reached their lowest point at Rp 28,950 per kg on Monday, June 27, 2022. The highest price this year reached Rp 29,450 per kg.

Nationally, fresh chicken egg prices started to rise towards the end of 2021. The average price of fresh chicken eggs in modern markets is Rp 30,740 per kg, a 9.2% increase compared to the previous weekend.
