Household Equipment, Utensil, and Routine Maintenance Costs in Karimun Regency Decreased by 0.06% in September

Prices of components contributing to household textile inflation in Karimun Regency in September decreased by 0.06%. Although this figure shows a decrease, it remains higher than the decrease recorded in the previous month, which was 3.97%. Among the five inflation groups measured in this region, the group of household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance contributed -0.03% inflation in Karimun Regency.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance in Karimun Regency was at 107.8 in September 2024, lower than the previous month's figure of 107.86.

This regency/city is a new area included in the 2024 CPI calculation. Previously, referring to the 2018 CPI, BPS only calculated 90 regencies/cities. However, starting in 2024, referring to the base year of 2022, the CPI is calculated based on the consumption pattern from the cost of living survey (SBH) in 150 regencies/cities in 2022 (2022=100).

Historically, inflation data for this region has only been available since the beginning of 2024. Compared to the beginning of the year, prices of components contributing to inflation in Karimun Regency have grown by -4.02% (year to date/ytd).

Compared to the other 11 groups, this inflation group ranks 3.5.

Overall inflation in June 2024 at the national level was 0.12%, down from the previous month (month to month/m-to-m). Compared to the beginning of the year, national overall inflation reached 1.04% (ytd), and compared to June 2019, there was a decrease in inflation of 23.07% (yoy).
