Yogyakarta Special Region Weekly Food Prices (October 20th): Rice, Chili, and Onion Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (20/10/2024) at 09.46 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, chicken eggs, mackerel, SPHP rice, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, bulk cooking oil, garlic bulbs, granulated sugar, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp2,850 (17.88%) to Rp18,790 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers experienced the steepest price drop of Rp9,340 (22.69%) to Rp31,820 per kg.
