Central Java Food Prices Thursday (Oct 23): Eggs Rise, Red Chili Falls

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (Oct 23, 2025) at 09.53 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 9 increased and 16 decreased.

Commodities with price increases were pure beef, broiler chicken meat, packaged cooking oil, frozen buffalo meat (imported), and dried soybean seeds (imported).

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, curly red chili, fresh buffalo meat (local), large red chili, and packaged wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour commodity saw the highest increase of Rp115 (1.32%) to Rp8,803 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili dropped the sharpest by Rp2,543 (5.55%) to Rp43,316 per kg.
