Latest Food Prices in East Java: Prices of Beef, Chilies, and Sugar Rise

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Monday (14/10/2024) at 12.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, dry soybean (import), premium rice, bulk cooking oil, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, milkfish, chicken eggs, red chilies, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn prices saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp180 (3.33%) to Rp5,590 per kg. Red chili prices saw the sharpest decrease, dropping by Rp2,060 (10.73%) to Rp17,130 per kg.

6. Mackerel: Rp32,340 per kg (down 1.61%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,500 per kg (up 1.8%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,450 per kg (down 0.16%)
9. Red Onion: Rp23,330 per kg (up 0.34%)
10. Red Chili: Rp17,130 per kg (down 10.73%)
