Cooking Oil Price Trend Strengthens in the First Half of 2024

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas), the average price of bulk cooking oil in Indonesia in June 2024 reached Rp15,840 per liter, a 6.3% increase compared to June of the previous year.

Cumulatively, the average price of bulk cooking oil throughout the first half of 2024 reached Rp15,557 per liter, 4.2% higher than the first half of 2023, which averaged Rp14,933 per liter.

Although the national price trend is increasing, the price of bulk cooking oil varies significantly at the provincial level.

The highest average price was in Papua Province, while the lowest was in Riau Islands Province.
