According to the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) report, tax revenue reached Rp149.25 trillion in January 2024, down 8.07% compared to January 2023 (year-on-year/yoy).

Non-oil and gas PPh receipts at the beginning of this year reached Rp83.69 trillion, equivalent to 56.1% of total tax revenue.

Then there is the revenue from value-added tax (PPN) and luxury goods sales tax (PPnBM) of Rp57.76 trillion, oil and gas PPh of Rp6.99 trillion, and land and building tax (PBB) of Rp810 billion.

Kemenkeu recorded that total state revenue realization reached Rp215.5 trillion as of January 2024, while state expenditure was Rp184.2 trillion.

With higher revenue realization compared to state expenditure, the APBN recorded a surplus of Rp31.3 trillion at the beginning of this year.
