The Ministry of Finance has received 12.57 million annual tax returns (SPT) for the 2022 tax year as of April 15, 2023. The submission of these SPTs increased by 3.15% year-on-year (yoy).

Sri Mulyani detailed that the total SPTs comprised 476,590 returns from corporate taxpayers and 12.1 million from individual taxpayers. The number of corporate tax returns increased by 17.08% yoy, while individual tax returns increased by 2.67% yoy.

Based on the submission method, 12.16 million SPTs (96.73%) were submitted electronically. This includes 10.61 million via e-filling, 1.55 million via e-form, and 5,635 via e-SPT.

However, 410,773 SPTs (3.3% of the total) were submitted manually. This comprised 350,526 individual taxpayers and 60,247 corporate taxpayers.
