Food Prices in Banten on Thursday (June 13th): Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (13/6/2024) at 10:51 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, red chilies, mackerel, medium-grain rice, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, dry soybean (import), red onion, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp6,830 (14.12%) to Rp55,210 per kg. The price of dry soybean (import) saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp850 (6.64%) to Rp11,960 per kg.
