Banten Food Price Update Today: Fish Prices Up, Corn Prices Down (Wednesday, November 29, 2023)

Food prices in Banten today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (29/11/2023) at 11:17 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 16 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased.

The price of kembung fish saw the highest increase, jumping 9.41% or Rp3,570 to Rp41,520 per kg.

Next, the prices of red chili peppers and iodized fine salt increased by 8.0% or Rp6,020 to Rp81,230 per kg and 3.84% or Rp430 to Rp11,640 per kg, respectively.

The price of medium-grain rice increased by Rp370 or 2.95% to Rp12,910 per kg, the price of garlic cloves increased by Rp870 or 2.57% to Rp34,730 per kg, and the price of broiler chicken meat increased by Rp860 or 2.36% to Rp37,290 per kg.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, bulk wheat flour, pure beef, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of farmer-level corn decreased by 3.6% or Rp270 to Rp7,240 per kg, the lowest price decrease today in Banten.

The price of bulk wheat flour was recorded at Rp10,140 per kg, down 1.93%, the price of pure beef decreased to Rp134,910 per kg from Rp137,340 per kg previously, and the price of dry soybean (import) decreased by Rp120 to Rp14,800 per kg.
