Latest Food Prices in East Java: Salt Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (21/10/2024) at 11:05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, granulated sugar, shallots, red onions, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, Indian mackerel, red chilies, pure beef, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp590 (6.34%) to Rp9,900 per kg. Red chilies saw the sharpest price drop, down Rp2,670 (13.55%) to Rp17,040 per kg.
