Indonesia's Latest Food Prices: Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (28/6/2024) at 14:59 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, red chilies, pure beef, iodized fine salt, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, milkfish, shallots, bulk cooking oil, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp160 (1.4%) to Rp11,620 per kg. Shallots saw the largest price decrease, down by Rp300 (0.76%) to Rp39,360 per kg.

9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,810 per kg (unchanged)
