Food Prices Sunday (7/9) in South Sumatra: Red Chili Up, Chicken Meat Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (7/9/2025) at 13.24 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases were skipjack tuna, red onion, Minyakita cooking oil, red cayenne pepper, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, medium rice, mackerel, bulk wheat flour, and packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Large red chili commodity surged the highest by Rp1,741 (4.44%) to Rp40,963 per kg. Meanwhile, broiler chicken meat prices dropped the most by Rp194 (0.57%) to Rp33,836 per kg.

6. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp36,348 per kg (up 0.04%)
7. Garlic Bulb: Rp34,242 per kg (up 0.58%)
8. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp33,836 per kg (down 0.57%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,297 per kg (up 0.04%)
10. Milkfish: Rp28,063 per kg (up 0.34%)
