Indonesian Rupiah Strengthens to Rp 15,242 per US Dollar (Friday, September 30, 2022)

As of 10:43 WIB this morning, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market is traded at Rp 15,242 per US dollar on Friday, September 30, 2022. This exchange rate strengthened by 0.13% compared to the previous day's closing, which was traded at Rp 15,262 per US dollar. The daily exchange rate movement is expected to be in the range of 15190 - 15262.5 per US dollar.

According to investing.com, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has been under pressure, weakening by 1.65% in a week. Compared to 30 days ago, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has weakened by 2.85%.

However, for the one-year data range, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has actually decreased (strengthened). In the last year, the previous highest record reached Rp 15,260 per US dollar.

The rupiah exchange rate in the spot market reached its lowest point at Rp 14,255 per US dollar on Thursday, February 17, 2022. The highest point this year was around Rp 15,260 per US dollar.

The current rupiah exchange rate follows most regional currencies that are weakening against the US dollar.

This morning, according to several major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the South Korean won strengthened by 1.35 points (-0.09%) to KRW 1,429.07 per US dollar. Following this, the Japanese yen weakened by 0.27 points (+0.19%), the Singapore dollar weakened (+0.05%), the euro weakened (+0.13%), and the Chinese yuan weakened by 0.01 points (+0.16%).
