North Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Fish Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Friday, December 15, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in North Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (15/12/2023) at 15.41 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, skipjack tuna, granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, and Indian mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,540 (4.5%) to Rp35,780 per kg. Red chilies saw the lowest price decrease of Rp4,800 (9.19%) to Rp47,420 per kg.

7. Shallot Bulbs: Rp35,510 per kg (up 0.71%)
8. Shallots: Rp32,330 per kg (down 0.71%)
9. Broiler Chicken: Rp30,640 per kg (up 1.59%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,940 per kg (down 0.52%)
