West Java Food Prices Week of July 21st: Chili Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (21/7/2024) at 08.37 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice (SPHP), simple packaged cooking oil, pure beef, red chilies, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, dry soybean (import), bulk wheat flour, garlic cloves, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level increased the most by Rp540 (9.93%) to Rp5,980 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of shallots decreased the most sharply by Rp4,250 (14.88%) to Rp24,310 per kg.
