East Java Food Prices, Sunday (22/12): Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (22/12/2024) at 15.32 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, bulk wheat flour, medium rice, broiler chicken, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), SPHP rice, fine iodized salt, pure beef, and mackerel have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase of Rp2,200 (6.75%) to Rp34,770 per kg. The price of fine iodized salt saw the sharpest decrease of Rp230 (2.41%) to Rp9,300 per kg.
