Current Food Prices in Central Java: What's the Price of Chicken Meat?

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (1/5/2024) at 15.11 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, broiler chicken meat, chicken eggs, premium rice, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), milkfish, red chili peppers, skipjack tuna, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp100 (0.86%) to Rp11,750 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of farmer-level corn saw the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp120 (2.02%) to Rp5,830 per kg.
