Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down (Wednesday, March 6, 2024)

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (6/3/2024) at 09.33 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, bulk wheat flour, red chilies, granulated sugar, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium-grain rice, packaged (non-bulk) wheat flour, milkfish, bulk cooking oil, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most by Rp1,430 (2.3%) to Rp63,570 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish prices decreased the most by Rp960 (2.84%) to Rp32,850 per kg.
