Latest Food Prices in East Java: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (21/7/2024) at 15.11 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include SHP rice, medium rice, red chilies, premium rice, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, shallots, mackerel, skipjack tuna, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp650 (1.85%) to Rp35,820 per kg. Meanwhile, shallots experienced the steepest price drop, decreasing by Rp350 (1.52%) to Rp22,630 per kg.

6. Mackerel: Rp33,300 per kg (down 0.95%)
