Today's Food Prices in the Yogyakarta Special Region: Rice and Salt Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, have increased today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 11:32 WIB (Western Indonesian Time), out of 21 commodities, 11 saw price increases and 10 saw price decreases.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, curly red chilies, SPHP rice, fine iodized salt, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, tongkol fish, chicken eggs, garlic bulbs, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level saw the highest increase, jumping Rp4,500 (81.82%) to Rp10,000 per kg. The price of milkfish experienced the largest decrease, dropping Rp870 (2.26%) to Rp37,630 per kg.
