Today's Food Prices (26/2) in South Sumatra: Chicken Meat Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in South Sumatra today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (February 26, 2026) at 17:13 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases are broiler chicken meat, shallots, medium rice, and premium packaged palm cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as large red chilies, red cayenne peppers, curly red chilies, and Honan garlic decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots had the highest price increase of Rp118 (0.32%) to Rp36,608 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices had the deepest decrease of Rp2,510 (5.95%) to Rp39,698 per kg.

6. Shallots: Rp36,608 per kg (up 0.32%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp34,146 per kg (down 0.36%)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp28,892 per kg (unchanged)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp19,604 per liter (up 0.1%)
