Today's Food Price Update in Central Java: Fish, Oil, and Rice Prices Drop (Wednesday, November 29, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 13:16 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased.

Iodized fine salt prices surged the highest, increasing by 2.88% or Rp340 to Rp12,130 per kg.

Next, the prices of granulated sugar and simple packaged cooking oil increased by 1.33% or Rp220 to Rp16,700 per kg and 0.87% or Rp140 to Rp16,320 per liter, respectively.

The price of chicken eggs increased by Rp120 or 0.45% to Rp26,890 per kg, the price of Indian mackerel increased by Rp60 or 0.18% to Rp33,880 per kg, and the price of packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) increased by Rp10 or 0.08% to Rp12,580 per kg.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken meat, skipjack tuna, red chilies, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of chicken meat decreased by 1.31% or Rp450 to Rp33,910 per kg, the lowest price decrease today in Central Java.

The price of skipjack tuna was recorded at Rp33,660 per kg, down 1.09%, the price of red chilies decreased to Rp66,510 per kg from Rp67,130 per kg, and the price of shallots decreased by Rp230 to Rp26,960 per kg.
