Riau Food Price Update Today: Corn Prices Up, Onion Prices Down (Wednesday, December 6, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in Riau today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (6/12/2023) at 12:57 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, dry soybean (import), pure beef, farmer-level corn, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, garlic bulbs, bulk cooking oil, shallots, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp260 (3.43%), reaching Rp7,840 per kg. Shallots saw the lowest price decrease of Rp1,410 (4.38%), reaching Rp30,750 per kg.
