Local Investors Dominate Investment in Indonesia in Q3 2025

The Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) reported that investment realization in Indonesia reached IDR 491.4 trillion in the third quarter of 2025.

"This achievement is approximately 25.8% of the investment target of IDR 1,905.6 trillion, which we must achieve by the end of 2025," said Minister of Investment Rosan Roeslani in a press conference on Friday (17/10/2025).

In the third quarter of 2025, the largest portion of investment realization in Indonesia came from domestic direct investment (PMDN), with a value of IDR 279.4 trillion, or 56.9% of the total investment.

Meanwhile, foreign direct investment (PMA) contributed IDR 212 trillion, or 43.1%.

All investments made in the third quarter of 2025 absorbed 696,478 workers.

The largest investment flowed into the basic metal industry, metal goods, non-machinery, and equipment sector, with a value of IDR 62 trillion.

Other sectors that received significant capital inflows during this period were mining (IDR 55.9 trillion); transportation, warehousing, and telecommunications (IDR 52.6 trillion); and other services (IDR 44.3 trillion).
