Distribution of Industrial Centers in Indonesian Provinces 2024: East Java Has the Most

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) processed by Databoks, the number of industrial centers in Indonesia in 2024 reached 8,889 units. This figure has seen a significant decrease from 12,404 units in 2021.

By regional distribution, the top three provinces on Java Island hold the largest quantity of industrial centers nationwide.

East Java ranks first with 1,664 industrial centers. This accounts for 18.71% of the total national industrial centers in 2024.

Followed by Central Java with 1,547 units and West Java with 1,266 units.

Meanwhile, the provinces with the fewest industrial centers in Indonesia are South Papua (1), Central Papua (2), and North Kalimantan (3).
