The Ministry of Finance Requests an Additional Budget of Rp4.88 Trillion in 2026

The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) has proposed an additional budget of Rp4.88 trillion for 2026.

Previously, Kemenkeu received a budget allocation of Rp47.13 trillion. If the proposal is approved, Kemenkeu's budget will increase to Rp52.02 trillion next year.

"And this is what we propose as the optimal budget allocation to carry out our duties and functions as fiscal managers," said Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara in a working meeting with Commission XI of the DPR (House of Representatives) on Monday (14/7/2025).

He explained that the additional budget of Rp4.88 trillion is needed to support four strategic activities, namely:

• Unfunded Information and Communication Technology (ICT) expenditure: Rp1.90 trillion
• Mandatory and priority services: Rp1.74 trillion
• Support for achieving state revenue targets: Rp1.74 trillion
• Basic needs of the new echelon I unit: Rp41.32 billion

"We prioritize this budget to meet the basic needs of Kemenkeu's five main programs," said Suahasil.

These five main programs consist of fiscal policy; state revenue management; state expenditure management; treasury, state assets, and risk management; and management support.
