According to a report by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), West Java's economic growth in the first quarter of 2025 reached 4.98% (year-on-year/yoy).
This figure reflects the growth in the value of West Java's constant price regional gross domestic product (PDRB), which increased from Rp427.98 trillion (Q1 2024) to Rp449.32 trillion (Q1 2025).
West Java's economy in Q1 2025 grew stronger than in Q1 of the previous year, which recorded a growth rate of 4.93% (yoy).
However, this growth did not occur across all business sectors.
Of the 17 main business sectors in West Java, 16 sectors experienced positive growth, while one sector experienced negative or weakened growth.
