The Indonesian Investment Ministry/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) reported that downstream investments reached Rp407.8 trillion (approximately US$27.2 billion) in 2024, equivalent to 23.8% of total national investment.

Next, downstream investments in the agricultural sector, particularly in crude palm oil (CPO) and oleochemicals, amounted to Rp67.1 trillion.

Downstream investments in the forestry sector, specifically in pulp and paper industries, reached Rp64 trillion.

This was followed by the oil and gas sector, particularly petrochemicals, with Rp23.1 trillion in investment.

Finally, downstream investments in the electric vehicle ecosystem, specifically in the battery industry, amounted to Rp8.4 trillion.

Rosan stated that the government will develop downstream commodities in other sectors. He mentioned ongoing coordination with relevant ministries/agencies to realize this.

"Going forward, downstream investment realization will continue to increase, and we are confident that it will continue to grow, as this is one of President Prabowo's priority programs," he said.
