Current Food Prices in West Java: Onions Up, Salt Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (19/5/2024) at 16.10 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, dry soybean (import), and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, fine iodized salt, broiler chicken, farmer-level corn, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp1,050 (2.38%) to Rp45,180 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp150 (2.8%) to Rp5,200 per kg.
