Food Prices in West Java Thursday (Oct 2): Bird's Eye Chili, Rice, and Sugar Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (Oct 2, 2025) at 12:48 PM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 16 decreased.

Commodities with price increases are bulk cooking oil, chicken eggs, pure beef, dry soybean seeds (imported), and consumption salt.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, milkfish, large red chilies, SPHP rice, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Corn for livestock surged the highest by Rp82 (1.36%) to Rp6,122 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chilies fell the sharpest by Rp4,314 (7.14%) to Rp56,143 per kg.
