Latest Food Prices in East Java: Chili, Egg, and Beef Prices Decrease

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (August 14, 2025) at 2:18 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 13 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include mackerel, consumption sugar, skipjack tuna, medium rice, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, SPHP rice, broiler eggs, pure beef, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Garlic bulb commodity surged the highest by Rp358 (1.2%) to Rp30,208 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili dropped the deepest by Rp1,466 (4.28%) to Rp32,764 per kg.

6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp31,806 per kg (up 0.17%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,360 per kg (up 0.29%)
8. Curly Red Chili: Rp30,914 per kg (down 2.47%)
9. Garlic Bulb: Rp30,208 per kg (up 1.2%)
10. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp28,009 per kg (down 3.04%)
