Chicken Prices in Yogyakarta Increase by 35.26% in One Week

The price of chicken in Yogyakarta Special Region reached Rp 39,700 per kg on Monday, July 4, 2022. Compared to other regions, this was the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily commodity price monitoring data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, chicken prices in Yogyakarta Special Region increased by 35.26% within a week.

Compared to prices 30 days prior, chicken prices in the region have increased by 32.78%. This signifies a significant surge within a month. Furthermore, compared to the last year's prices, the current price of chicken in Yogyakarta's modern markets is the highest on record.

From January to July 2022, chicken prices in modern markets have continuously increased, rising 32.78% compared to the previous month.

Chicken prices reached their lowest point of Rp 39,700 per kg on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. The highest price this year also reached around Rp 39,700 per kg.

Nationally, chicken prices began to rise towards the end of 2021. The average price of chicken in modern markets is Rp 43,300 per kg, a 5.42% increase compared to the end of last week.
