Bali United defeated Persis Solo 3-2 in the final match of the 26th week of the BRI Liga 1 2023/2024 at I Wayan Dipta Stadium on Thursday, February 29, 2024. This victory secured Serdadu Tridatu's position in the Championship Series zone.
The home team scored their first goal through I Gede Sunu in the 23rd minute. Their lead increased in the 40th minute with a goal by I Made Andhika Wijaya.
In the second half, Persis Solo started to fight back, scoring through Moussa Sidibe in the 48th minute. However, Bali United extended their lead again in the 81st minute, with Muhammad Rachmat scoring from an assist by M Rashid.
Towards the end of the match, Persis Solo reduced the deficit with a goal from Ramadhan Sananta during injury time in the 90+6th minute.
This was Bali United's first win in their last five matches. With this victory, Stefano Cugurra Teco's team climbed to third place in the Liga 1 2023/2024 standings with 45 points.
Bali United successfully overtook PSIS Semarang, who dropped to fourth place, and are closely trailing Persib Bandung in second place, also with 45 points.
Borneo FC remains at the top of the standings with 60 points. Previously, Pesut Etam defeated Bhayangkara 4-0 in a match held on Monday, February 26, 2024.
Meanwhile, the relegation zone is occupied by Arema FC (27 points), Persikabo 1973 (17 points), and Bhayangkara FC (15 points).
