Food Prices Today (28/1) in Central Java: Red Bird's Eye Chili Up, Eggs Down

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (January 28, 2026) at 3:13 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 8 increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include curly red chili, large red chili, broiler chicken meat, Honan garlic, and bulk granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as red onion and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili saw the highest jump of Rp2,037 (4.24%) to Rp50,074 per kg. Meanwhile, broiler chicken egg prices experienced the sharpest decline of Rp130 (0.47%) to Rp27,250 per kg.
