Today's Food Prices April 22 in South Sumatra: Oil and Onion Prices Drop

Several food commodity prices in South Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (April 22, 2026) at 15:07 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 6 decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases are curly red chili, broiler chicken meat, large red chili, and red bird's eye chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as Minyakita, broiler eggs, Honan garlic, red onions, and loose granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The large red chili commodity jumped the highest by Rp1,322 (3.67%) to Rp37,311 per kg. The red onion price dropped the most by Rp667 (1.75%) to Rp37,353 per kg.

6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp34,529 per kg (up 0.45%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp33,167 per kg (down 0.56%)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp27,882 per kg (down 0.21%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,467 per liter (stable)
10. Loose Granulated Sugar: Rp17,745 per kg (down 0.11%)
