Surpassing the Target, 2021 Provisional State Revenue Reaches Rp 2,003.1 Trillion

The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) recorded that state revenue realization reached Rp 2,003.1 trillion throughout 2021. This figure grew by 21.6% from the same period the previous year, which was Rp 1,647.8 trillion.

State revenue realization reached 114.9%, exceeding the 2021 State Budget (APBN) target. The state revenue target in this year's APBN was Rp 1,743.6 trillion.

In detail, state revenue realization from taxes was recorded at Rp 1,277.5 trillion in 2021. This amount increased by 19.2% compared to 2020, which was Rp 1,072.1 trillion.

State revenue realization from non-tax revenue (PNBP) was recorded at Rp 452 trillion in 2021. This amount increased by 31.5% compared to the previous year, which was Rp 343.8 trillion.

Meanwhile, state revenue realization from customs and excise duties was recorded at Rp 269 trillion throughout last year. This amount increased by 26.3% compared to the same period the previous year, which was Rp 213 trillion.

Meanwhile, the realization of state expenditure was recorded at Rp 2,786.8 trillion throughout 2021. This value grew by 7.4% from 2020, which reached Rp 2,595.5 trillion.

As a result, Indonesia still experienced a budget deficit of Rp 783.7 trillion. This deficit is equivalent to 4.65% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
