Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Prices of Chicken, Chilies, and Rice Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (9/1/2025) at 13:21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 17 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are red chili peppers, farmer-level corn, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, chicken eggs, iodized fine salt, curly red chilies, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili pepper prices saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp620 (0.84%) to Rp74,230 per kg. Milkfish prices saw the largest decrease, dropping by Rp390 (1.17%) to Rp33,040 per kg.

9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp32,020 per kg (down 0.59%)
