South Sumatra Food Prices Wednesday (25/12): Sugar Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (25/12/2024) at 09.44 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, milkfish, mackerel, and packaged (non-bulk) wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, red chili peppers, iodized fine salt, shallots, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp9,070 (25.97%) to Rp44,000 per kg. Red chili peppers, on the other hand, saw the steepest price drop of Rp6,460 (12.8%) to Rp44,000 per kg.

1. Pure Beef: Rp130,000 per kg (down 4.16%)
2. Curly Red Chili: Rp44,000 per kg (down 4.08%)
3. Red Chili Peppers: Rp44,000 per kg (down 12.8%)
4. Mackerel: Rp44,000 per kg (up 25.97%)
5. Garlic Bulb: Rp40,000 per kg (down 1.86%)
6. Shallots: Rp38,000 per kg (down 3.33%)
7. Broiler Chicken: Rp34,000 per kg (down 4.76%)
8. Milkfish: Rp30,000 per kg (up 8.11%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (up 13.34%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,000 per kg (down 2.39%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,000 per kg (up 2.74%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,000 per liter (down 4.41%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp16,000 per liter (down 3.79%)
