Indonesia's Food Prices Today: What's the Price of Chicken?

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (1/11/2024) at 14:58 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, Indian mackerel, shallots, medium-grain rice, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as cayenne pepper, skipjack tuna, pure beef, broiler chicken, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp550 (1.78%) to Rp31,410 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp570 (1.38%) to Rp40,680 per kg.
