Food Prices Today (22/1) in Central Java: Bird's Eye Chili Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (January 22, 2026) at 16.17 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 increased and 3 decreased.

Commodities with price increases are premium packaged palm cooking oil, Honan garlic, broiler chicken meat, and red bird's eye chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, broiler eggs, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili commodity surged the highest by Rp592 (1.45%) to Rp41,407 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili dropped the sharpest by Rp241 (0.89%) to Rp26,926 per kg.
