The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for food, beverages, and tobacco in Waingapu was at 106.9 in February 2024, higher than the previous month's 105.38.

Compared to the same month last year, food, beverage, and tobacco inflation has decreased by 6.09% (year-on-year/YoY). Compared to the beginning of the year, prices of components contributing to inflation in Waingapu have grown by 1.44% (year-to-date/YTD).
