Simple Packaged Cooking Oil Prices to Increase in the First Half of 2024

Simple packaged cooking oil is cooking oil sold in economical packaging. This type of product is sold, among others, by the government through the Ministry of Trade under the Minyakita brand.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas), the average price of simple packaged cooking oil in Indonesia decreased during the period of May 2023-January 2024.

However, starting in February 2024, the price trend has continued to rise, reaching an average of Rp17,920 per liter in June 2024, 0.2% higher than in June of the previous year.

Prices vary greatly at the provincial level. The highest price is in Papua Pegunungan, while the lowest is in Bangka Belitung Islands.
