10 Provinces with the Highest Prices for Medium-Sized Garlic (Friday, May 19, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of medium-sized garlic (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces reaching Rp 42,830 per kg, as of Friday, May 19, 2023. Overall, the average this week increased compared to last week's average of Rp 40,350 per kg.

The daily price of medium-sized garlic in modern markets in Yogyakarta Special Region was the highest in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 66,800 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of medium-sized garlic in this province is higher; previously recorded at Rp 38,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in Gorontalo's modern markets, medium-sized garlic was sold at Rp 65,950 per kg, making it the second most expensive domestically.

Following in third place, the price of medium-sized garlic in West Papua was Rp 55,000 per kg, North Maluku Rp 50,000 per kg, and Central Kalimantan Rp 49,150 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 20 provinces with medium-sized garlic sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for medium-sized garlic are Jambi, East Kalimantan, and Riau Islands.
