East Java Food Prices Tuesday (9/9): Chili Peppers Up, Buffalo Meat Down

Today''s prices for several food commodities in East Java were observed to be lower than yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (9/9/2025) at 08.41 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 11 saw an increase and 14 saw a decrease.

Commodities with price increases were consumption salt, garlic, broiler eggs, curly red chilies, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, prices for several commodities such as red onions, large red chilies, consumption sugar, farmer-level corn, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Red bird''s eye chili saw the highest jump of Rp1,729 (5.89%) to Rp31,083 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad) experienced the sharpest decline of Rp150,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
