Compared to the COVID-19 pandemic year of 2020, the region's economic growth is significantly higher. At the end of 2020, post-COVID, growth recorded a decline of 1.83%.
According to BPS (Statistics Indonesia) publications, with a total population of 305,980, the GRDP per capita in the region is recorded at Rp47,680,000/capita/year. Nationally, this ranks 249th.
Of the 17 sectors driving the region's economy, the wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector is the leading contributor.
The wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector holds the top position. In 2023, this sector contributed the largest share to the GRDP, reaching Rp4.38 trillion, showing a growth of 5.53%.
Following this is the construction sector, which grew by 2.96% to Rp1.74 trillion, and the manufacturing industry sector with a GRDP of Rp1.66 trillion (3.25% growth).
Other sectors contributing to the top five include the real estate sector with a GRDP of Rp1.07 trillion.
