Current Food Prices in West Java: Oil and Chili Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (15/10/2024) at 13.20 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, bulk wheat flour, medium rice, dry soybean (import), and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, SPHP rice, pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili pepper prices saw the highest increase of Rp1,670 (3.61%) to Rp47,870 per kg. Farmer-level corn prices saw the sharpest decrease of Rp100 (1.78%) to Rp5,530 per kg.

8. Curly Red Chili Peppers: Rp26,780 per kg (down 1.33%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,740 per kg (up 0.07%)
